so musical and so theatrical. no wonder about that for this movie is based upon a stage musical. it's really like watching a play through a screen. the act, the gesture, the dance, everything is so theatrical.
first come meryl streep, unsurprisingly awesome. she's a real actress. how amazing to see her dancing all around, crying and laughing never the same like her old movies.
then there are three gorgeous gentlemen as the fathers of the bride. pierce brosnan, the james bond guy. so hot of his age. stellen skarsgard, know him as bootstrap bill- the sea-star-face, in the pirates of caribbean. and the other one is colin firth, the man of of so-many-movies-i-can't-spell-it-all-out.
amanda seyfried. remember the girl with an idiotic look on her face in meangirls? one of the jingle bell rocks chronicle? the one who found her talent as a weather reporter based on her boobs? oh right! that girl really does act! she's completely different in this movie. (though you can still find her idiotic look on her face sometimes) she's very good.
so the story is about sophie, a becoming bride who's looking to find her real dad. amazing story with three complicated choices of the fathers of bride. fulled with ABBA's song. the corny costumes are also fit the 70s disco stage.
moreover all those things above, the actresses sang by themselves. they don't have angelic voices but they DO sing.
miss to be on stage again. mamma mia!
